The Filipino Voter Choosing The “Vice” Is Politically Stupid

Divided HouseThe ability to allow the people to vote for the “Vice – Someone” is the single, stupidest thing in the Philippine political arena. The people should not be permitted to choose the candidates “Vice or Running mate” during ANY elections. That is the choice of the candidate and/or their respective Party as to whom he/she wants as their back-up.

The 2010 NOY*MAR campaign was a perfect example of a unified attempt at running mates.

Every time the people choose, it almost always creates a “divided” house at nearly every level. Example: Aquino / Binay. Before any kind of Cha-Cha (Charter-Change) is considered… This must be amended in the Consitution, and removed from the electoral ballot.

One of the most important reasons as to “why” a candidate should be given the opportunity to choose, is not just the obvious Party unity it creates. It also gives the voting public a chance to see their candidate in action.

  • Who will he/she choose, and why.
  • How do their respective platform compare.
  • The value of their combined experience.

These are just a few reasons why it is up to the candidate and not the people. Can you imagine what would happen if President Aquino stepped down, and Jejomar Binay stepped in? First! Out goes the Liberal Party, and in steps UNA. And just how long do you think Mr Binay is going to allow the Liberal Party to remain in control? All of about 5 minutes folks! At least, when it was the whole “NOY*MAR” package in 2010, it would have been an LP situation. Good or bad. Yet not divided.

Now, if President Obama stepped down, and Joe Biden filled the slot, it still remains the Democratic Party overall. You people really need to also consider denying so many parties within the political structure. At present, I lost count at 15 different parties in your house and senate. No wonder nothing ever gets done for the people. These idiots will NEVER be able to compromise on anything because one party or another will always try and find the negative in it. Can you imagine an impeachment attempted against Aquino?

Another fine example of just how fucked up your country has become. One thing is for sure… Right or wrong. Good or bad. At least when Ferdinand Marcos was running your country… There was no political turmoil at any of the Executive, House, Senate and Judicial levels.

I'm just another ExPat enjoying life here in Asia. I am also having the time of my life exposing the ugly truth about the present Governmental administration of the Philippines. Especially that of current President "BS" Aquino. And the rest of his Liberal Party assholes.
