When we take the time to look closely at the term of Philippine president BS Aquino. We discover from its onset, an administration mired in controversy. And strangely enough, it all seems to be an endless array of dead people. From an out of control hostage situation. A killer typhoon. And a Police operation gone horribly wrong. [*]
BS Aquino’s lame duck, limp dick presidency has been anything but untainted. Countless lives have been needlessly lost due to his government’s self-serving policies, and incompetence. All one has to do is mention the Luneta bus hostage crisis. The mismanagement and unnecessary politicization of Typhoon Haiyan’s relief operations. As well as the 44 dead from the Special Action Force (SAF) of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
And most importantly, Filipinos should not ignore the attempt of BS Aquino’s so-called “peace panel” to hand over to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) a sizable portion of Mindanao. Never mind that certain provisions were dubious and possible violations of the Constitution. They were negotiating, as equals, with an insurgent terror group, for crying out loud.
Which brings us to Mar Roxas. Another shyster Oligarch who is no slouch when it comes to working the screw-up department. Filipinos continue to blame him for the breakdown of the Mass Railway Transit (MRT) commuter train system, and supposedly with good reason; shady deals which replaced the maintenance contractor with a dubious one were approved during his term, and were continued under his successor in the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Jun Abaya.
Mar also figures significantly in the botched typhoon Haiyan relief operations because of his episode with Tacloban mayor Alfred Romualdez. Remember his wonderful, “You must remember that you are a Romualdez and the president is an Aquino” idiocy? Mar was also amazingly bypassed by BS Aquino in the planning and execution of the eventual “everything went wrong” operation in Mamasapano. A nightmare he publicly referred to as a misencounter. And yet, he continues to defend his boss. He also recently downplayed the bullet-planting operations (tanim-bala) done by personnel in the Manila International Airport, by saying, “Kung nagpasok ka ng contraband sa airport, paano naging problema ng gobyerno yun?“ [Translation – If you take contraband into the airport. How is that the governments problem?]
As we all know. There is a boatload of other infractions. Mishaps. Constitutional blunders. Epic failures. Secret financial deals. And so on. What the people must now seriously consider is this: Do they want this trend to continue under another Liberal Party player? Because if they take the time to actually research the current administration. They’ll discover a horror show that dates back 30 years. And born of an inexperienced, overrated housewife.
Get the picture now folks?
